Dear BlackVue User,
Good news! The BlackVue App (iOS/Android) and Viewer (macOS/Windows) had just been revamped with major changes.
New firmware is available for the DR590W Series (version 1.005) and DR590 Series (version 1.007) dashcams. This update is especially recommended if you are using Parking Mode and scheduled reboot.
iPhone 11 had been launched in Singapore with much anticipation on 20 Sept 2019 . The new iPhone 11 is loaded with the latest iOS 13 which promised many new features such as the Dark Mode, improved Face ID, faster speed and more. We believe many of you had downloaded this new firmware to your existing iPhone too.
BlackVue just introduced HDR Night Vision, a new feature for DR900S Series dashcams. The feature replaces Enhanced Night Vision and improves both day and night video quality.
You can find it under Firmware settings > Basic > Video > HDR Night Vision (On (Always) | On (Parking mode only) | Off). Don’t forget to hit “Save and close” to apply the changes.
Important: HDR Night Vision applies to 4K sensors only. For dual-channel models like DR900S-2CH, turning HDR Night Vision on will apply it to the front camera, while the rear camera will use Night Vision.
2018 was a busy year for BlackVue, that saw a constant flow of new features enhancing its dashcams. In this article, we are not talking about stability improvements or minor bug fixes but actual new functionalities added to existing dashcam models after launch. In case of the DR750S Series, if you got your dashcam upon release in August 2018 and did not update its firmware, you would have a lot to discover.
Let’s have a look back at those features.
New firmware is available for the DR750S (1.013) and DR900S (1.008) Series, introducing Over-the-Cloud firmware upgrades and Quick View Notifications in case of Events.
Not using BlackVue Over the Cloud? We still recommend upgrading as these updates also include a new Write Error Detection feature.
New firmware is available for the DR590W Series (version 1.003) and DR590 Series (version 1.006) dashcams.
With recent update for Android OS firmware (V8.10 and above) and BlackVue App V2.84, we found the following problem when using the BlackVue App.
New firmware (version 1.006) is available for the DR900S Series, with a new option to turn off the rear camera while in Parking Mode. This update concerns mainly the DR900S-2CH, although a DR900S-1CH update is also available with stability improvements.
