BlackVue Cloud service is free since it was established in 2015 but you need to prepare your own data SIM card.

6) I love the features and performance of Cloud dashcams. Can I use the Cloud dashcams without the Cloud service?
Yes.
DR770X and DR970X Cloud dashcams require external mobile hotspot or LTE module for Cloud connectivity. If you don't require Cloud connectivity, you can use the dashcam as it is without any optional accessories.
DR970X-2CH LTE Plus and DR770X-2CH LTE comes with built-in 4G. It simplifies the setup for Cloud connectivity by inserting the SIM card to the dashcam.
