[Road Safety Tips] Always be vigilant when crossing the road

An accident involving a school boy who was hit by a car while crossing the pedestrian crossing was caught on BlackVue on 21 Jan 2021 morning rush hours. 

The boy was seen crossing the East Coast road in a hurry with his mother while the traffic light is still in their favour even though it is counting down for the last one second before it turns red.  Suddenly a black car was turning left from Still road and hit the boy. 

This video remind us to always be vigilant of our surroundings when crossing the road even though the traffic light in your favor.  It is recommended to make eye contact with the driver of an approaching vehicle and ensure that it stops before you cross the road. 
The dashcam's owner had submitted this video recorded with his 5-year old BlackVue DR650GW-1CH to the traffic police for further investigation.
