A BlackVue user, Mr. Ng had parked his car along Ubi Road 2. A few minutes later, a parking enforcement officer approached the car from behind and trying to issue a fine.
Mr. Ng argued that he had just arrived and yet to activate the digital parking session. From the time stamp recorded with his BlackVue DR650GW-1CH dashcam, he stopped the car within the parking lot at around 18:09 and the officer came at 18:12.
According to Road Traffic Act 1961, “park” means to bring a motor vehicle or a trailer to a stationary position and cause it to wait for any purpose other than that of immediately taking up or setting down persons, goods or luggage;
Does it matter if the driver is in the car or not? How much time you are allowed to wait before starting the parking session? 🤔😀
