Good news, from 1 April 2022, most of Covid-19 restrictions were lifted and you can drive to Malaysia without much hassle now. If you are using BlackVue Cloud service, you maybe wondering if the system still works if you are driving in Malaysia.
Established since 2015, BlackVue Cloud combines state-of-the-art dashcam technology with cloud ubiquity to make the most out of your BlackVue dashcam. Video backup, real-time GPS-tracking, alarm notifications, the possibilities are endless.
BlackVue Cloud is all about using your dashcam to its full potential, so that you and your car are always connected.
Since BlackVue Cloud is depending on the data network connectivity, if you are using a SIM card from any local telcos in Singapore, please make sure that it supports roaming. BlackVue Cloud dashcams such DR750X PLUS and DR900X PLUS require additional accessories such as Car WiFi Kit (mobile router) for the connectivity to the internet.
If you are using our Car WiFi Kit or other third party mobile router with local SIM card for the setup, you have to allow "roaming" from the settings using the related app.
If you are using a SIM card from any telcos in Malaysia, you have to make sure that the Access Point Name (APN) settings for the router is correct. Here is the list of some of the popular telcos in Malaysia with the proper settings.
