BlackVue X Series Dashcams Available Now

BlackVue DR900X, DR750X, and DR590X Series models are now available in Singapore. 
The X Series models replace the DR900S, DR750S and DR590W-1CH, but we retained the DR590W-2CH for Simple WiFi dashcam. Check out the available range of dashcams here. 
The new models sport similar video recording specs, with the added bonus of built-in voltage monitoring and a micro USB port. The built-in voltage monitor lets you hardwire your dashcam and protect your vehicle’s battery without the need for a Power Magic Pro kit. The micro USB port allows for easy Cloud connectivity via plug-in LTE Connectivity Module.

Native Parking Mode

Hardwiring cable (CH-3P1)

​With the X Series, the dashcams come equipped with a built-in voltage monitor. The DR900X and DR750X models include the hardwiring cable in the box, while for DR590X models, it is an optional item. When you hardwire your dashcam, you connect the hardwiring cable to your fuse panel. ​Voltage cutoff and timer can be set in the BlackVue App.

Disclaimer: Vehicle battery life and performance maybe affected which lead to premature failure especially with frequent short driving. Not compatible with some continental vehicles which may triggers dashboard error. Not recommended for most new vehicles under warranty due to agent restrictions. ​

Parking Mode accessories support

While we are on the subject of Parking Mode, you might wonder if the X Series models are compatible with the Parking Mode accessories (hardwiring kits and batteries). The answer is yes, and that’s because X Series dashcams feature both ignition-triggered and G-sensor-based Parking Mode. That means if your dashcam detects that your car is stationary for five minutes, it will automatically enter Parking Mode, regardless of ignition status. ​

Rear camera off in Parking Mode

This feature is only available earlier for our 4K Cloud dashcam,  DR900S-2CH but now available for all the models in X-series. 

Parking Mode Rear Camera Off  feature is for extended recording time with only the front camera in Parking Mode:
Firmware settings > Basic settings > Rear camera recording in parking mode:

1. ON :  Front and rear cameras record together.
2. OFF : Rear camera stops recording 5 minutes after entering parking mode.

                    Recording restarts when entering normal mode.

                     Benefits:
                     - Longer recording time on the microSD card in Parking Mode. 
                      (Increased the recording time by up to 25% with the same memory card. For example with 32GB memory card for DR900X-2CH
                       or DR750X-2CH, you can record the content of 1hour 50 minutes in Extreme Mode before starts to overwrite but by switching    
                      off the rear cam, you can record up to 2hours 30 minutes instead.)

                     – Lower power consumption in Parking Mode.
                     (Increased the parking mode time before your Power Solutions Cellink battery depletes. For example if you are  
                     using Cellink Neo 5 on DR750X-2CH, it could last up to 16 hours with both front and rear cameras in parking mode, but with rear  
                     camera switch off, you could enjoy 30% increase of parking mode time with up to 21 hours instead!

​LTE Connectivity Module (CM100LTE)

The X Series models come equipped with a micro USB port to connect optional accessories.

With DR900X and DR750X, you can connect an LTE Connectivity Module (CM100LTE) which is powered by the dashcam and provides 4G LTE connectivity for your dashcam (Nano SIM card to be inserted). This allows you to connect your dashcam to BlackVue Cloud and receive notifications to your phone when your parked car gets hit. It also lets you remotely see what your dashcam sees in real time. Being powered by the dashcam, you do not need to worry about the CM100LTE running out of power like you might with a self-powered router.

​LTE-M Connectivity Module (CM100GLTE-M)

The DR590X models support LTE-M connectivity and BlackVue Cloud Lite functionality. Note that the CM100GLTE-M will be released at some point in the future. With the CM100GLTE-M, the concept is a little different. It comes preloaded with a SIM card so you do not need to get your own. It is compatible with BlackVue Cloud Lite, which is a simplified version of BlackVue Cloud (with still images instead of Live View). CM100GLTE-M will be released at a later time. We will update on the Cloud functionality and availability as we near the launch date.

Things to keep in mind

• Power cables: due to the new 3-wire design highlighted above, the power cables from your past BlackVue models will not work with the X Series models, and vice versa.
• Video cables: the video cables connecting the front and rear cameras are unchanged from past models. DR900X and DR750X use the same coaxial cables as DR900S and DR750S. DR590X models use the same analog video cables as DR590 and DR590W. 
• Tamper-proof cases: due to the new connector configuration that includes a USB port, the past tamper-proof cases are not compatible with the X Series. New tamper-proof cases will be released soon. 
• External GPS Receiver: the DR590X model supports an External GPS Receiver via the USB port. This means past GPS Receivers that use an analog connection are not supported. Note that when the CM100GLTE-M is released, it will include GPS Receiver functionality.
