1. BlackVue Account Now Required
To ensure a seamless and secure user experience, a BlackVue Account (using Apple or Google account or email address registration) will be required to access your camera. This change allows for better integration with connected services and personalized app functionality.

2. Always-on Internet connection not needed
While the initial creation of a BlackVue account is required, the app won’t require an internet connection once you are logged in. As long as you do not log out from the app, you will be able to use it without internet connection and connect locally to your dash cam anytime. 

3. Refreshed User Interface (UI)
The BlackVue app now features a modern, streamlined design that enhances readability and ease of navigation. With improved layout and icons, you can quickly access key functions whether you're checking your dashcam’s status, browsing recordings, or changing settings.

4. Quick Access Buttons
​The redesigned Home screen places the most frequently used functions front and center. Instantly view your camera’s live feed, access Cloud-connected features, or review recent event recordings with just a tap.

5. Seamless Cloud Integration
Managing your Cloud-connected BlackVue dashcam has never been easier. The updated app offers smoother transitions between local and Cloud recordings, as well as improved thumbnail loading speeds, so you can preview videos faster—even when on the go.

With the new onboarding flow, setting up your BlackVue dashcam for the first time—or after a reset—is more intuitive than ever. Clear instructions guide you step by step, reducing setup time and eliminating guesswork.
