1. Eligibility:

• The trade-in promotion is applicable for all dashcams, regardless of brand, model, or condition.

2. Trade-In Value:

• The trade-in value varies based on the brand and the number of cameras in the dashcam being traded in:
• BlackVue | 2-Channel: Up to $250
• BlackVue | 1-Channel: Up to $200
• Other Brands | 2-Channel: Up to $180
• Other Brands | 1-Channel: Up to $130

3. Promotion Period:

• ​This promotion is valid until October 31, 2024, or while stocks last. We reserve the right to modify, extend, or end the promotion at any time without prior notice.

4. Trade-In Limit:

• This promotion is limited to two trade-ins per customer. Any additional trade-ins beyond this limit will not be accepted.

5. Trade-In Process:

• Customers must submit their dashcam details through the online trade-in form (located at the bottom of this page) for review.
• Upon approval, you will receive an email with further instructions, including payment details.

6. Approval Process:

• You will receive an email within 2 working days of your application, confirming the trade-in value of your old dashcam.

7. Final Price:

• All quoted trade-in prices are final, and no negotiation will be entertained.

8. Installation Option:

• If you choose to have your new dashcam installed, a $100 installation fee will apply. This includes the removal of your old dashcam (if needed). Please note that for some pre-installed dashcams, not all wiring may be removed due to complexity. In such cases, our dealers will safely terminate and hide the wires where possible.
• Your new BlackVue dashcam must be installed within 1 month of payment at one of our participating dealers.
• We strongly recommend using an authorized dealer for installation to avoid any issues related to workmanship, ensure the product is installed correctly, and receive proper after-sales support.

9. No Installation Option:

• ​If you choose not to have installation, you must complete payment and collect your new dashcam at our service center within 2 weeks of receiving the email offer.

10. Payment and Collection:

• Online payment must be made in advance for both customers opting for installation and those not requiring installation.
  • Without Installation:
    After completing payment, you will need to collect your new BlackVue dashcam from our service center and trade in your old dashcam. Collection must be done within 2 weeks of receiving your email offer.
  • With Installation:
    Once payment is confirmed, your new dashcam will be delivered to the selected dealer within 2 to 3 working days. The dealer will contact you to arrange the installation appointment. Please bring your old dashcam for the trade-in.
• Receiving an email offer does not guarantee that the purchase is secured. The trade-in offer will only be confirmed once full payment is made. This promotion is first-come, first-served, and stock availability is only guaranteed upon payment

11. Old Dashcam:

• Only the dashcam unit is required for the trade-in. You do not need to provide any cables or microSD cards from the old camera.

​1. What is the warranty period for the product?

• The default warranty period is 12 months. By registering your product upon purchase, you can extend the warranty by an additional 6 months, giving you a total coverage of 18 months.

2. Do I really need a 4K UHD dashcam? Isn’t that overkill?

• While 4K resolution might seem excessive, it provides key advantages over lower-resolution dashcams. Compared to Full HD (1080p), 4K UHD has four times more pixels, capturing significantly more detail, such as license plates or objects from a distance. This makes a big difference in capturing crucial details, even from farther away.
• However, it’s important to note that not all 4K dashcams are equal. We encourage you to check out the actual footage from our sample videos (above) to see the difference in video quality and how our 4K UHD dashcam can improve your driving security.

3. The dashcam supports 5GHz Wi-Fi. What if my older smartphone or mobile router can't connect to it?

• You can switch the Wi-Fi frequency to 2.4GHz via the BlackVue App using a compatible smartphone or through the PC Viewer on any computer.

4. What is the purpose of the built-in GPS?

• Unlike many competitor dashcams that require an external GPS, our dashcams have built-in GPS for a more compact and aesthetically sleek design. The GPS records your vehicle's location and, when playing back videos, the app or PC Viewer can sync the footage with a map. You also have the option to watermark your vehicle’s speed on the video or turn this feature off. If connected to the Cloud, you can remotely track your vehicle's location.

5. What is Seamless Pairing?

• Seamless Pairing emphasizes security. Every BlackVue dashcam comes with a unique password. When pairing the dashcam for the first time, simply press the button to sync the security password—no need to manually enter it.

6. What is Event File Protection?

• Event File Protection allows the dashcam to save up to 50 event files, such as those triggered by impacts or manual recordings. While this prevents important footage from being immediately overwritten, once the limit of 50 event files is reached, the oldest files will be overwritten by new ones. This feature is off by default but can easily be enabled through the BlackVue App.

7. How can I enable the parking mode function?

• This dashcam supports parking mode, but it requires a power source when engine is switched off. You can either connect it to your car battery or use an optional Cellink battery. We recommend using a Cellink battery as it won't affect your car's battery life or performance. It also helps prevent dashboard errors in some European cars when drawing power from the car battery.

8. What is Native Parking Mode?

• Native Parking Mode includes a built-in voltage monitoring feature, allowing you to use your car’s battery to power the dashcam when the engine is off. However, since car batteries aren’t designed for frequent deep discharging, using the battery for parking mode may reduce its performance and lifespan. The impact can vary based on factors like your driving vs. parking time, the type, age, and capacity of the battery. To avoid these risks, we recommend using a standalone Cellink dashcam battery.

9. If I purchase the Cellink battery, does it provide 24/7 monitoring?

• Since the Cellink battery requires charging, it does not provide 24/7 monitoring. When hardwired to the car’s fuse box, the Cellink battery charges from 0% to 100% in about 50 minutes while driving. Once fully charged, it can last up to 21 hours with the NEO 8+S model or up to 13 hours with the NEO 5S when engine is switched off. You can add additional NEO Extended batteries to extend the parking mode duration. We refer to this feature as parking mode rather than 24/7 monitoring because the dashcam will shut down when the Cellink battery is depleted.

10. What is the purpose of the High Temperature Cut-off feature?

• When the vehicle is parked outdoors, the internal car temperature, combined with the heat from the dashcam, may cause the dashcam's internal temperature to reach the high threshold of 75°C. The dashcam will automatically shut down to protect its electronics. It will resume recording once it cools down to approximately 60°C.

11. This product is Cloud-compatible. How do I connect it to the Cloud service?

• This dashcam requires an external Wi-Fi hotspot or an LTE Connectivity Module for internet connectivity. You will need to insert your own SIM card into the module to enable the Cloud connection. The Cloud service is free, but there are optional subscription plans available. Learn more [here].

12. How long does the installation take?

• The installation typically takes about 1 to 1.5 hours.

13. The dashcam comes with a default 64GB microSD card. How much video can it record?

• With the default highest-quality settings, the 64GB card can record up to 3 hours and 40 minutes of footage. The dashcam supports microSD cards with a capacity of up to 512GB, using our compatible memory cards.

14. Where can I purchase a Cellink battery or memory card to add to this promotion?

CABLE & ACC. COMPATIBILITY FAQ

1. Will I need to replace my existing power cable when upgrading to the BlackVue DR970X-2CH?

• All models in the X and X Plus Series are compatible with each other's power cables. However, they are not compatible with power cables from earlier models such as the DR650S, DR750S, DR900S, etc., or with the DR750-2CH LTE and DR750X-2CH LTE Plus.
  Since the X Series (DR590X, DR750X, DR900X), the power adapters have changed to “3-wire type”, to support direct hardwiring and take advantage of the camera’s built-in voltage monitor. The same 3-wire type power adapters are also used in the newest dash cam models, which means they can be reused for DR970X-2CH. This also means the power cables from older BlackVue dash cams (such as the S Series as well as past built-in LTE models) cannot be used.​

2. Do I need to replace the video cable for the rear camera?

• ​For existing BlackVue users, the video cable for the rear camera may or may not be compatible depending on the model you're upgrading from. The DR970X-2CH uses a coaxial cable to support higher data transfer. Even if the existing cable looks similar, it may not be fully compatible if you're currently using an older generation of Cloud dashcams, such as the DR650GW-2CH.

3. What about the mount holder? Can I reuse my existing one?

• The mount holder for your current BlackVue dashcam may not fit the DR970X-2CH due to differences in size and design. While your existing mount holder may look similar, there may be slight differences in size, meaning it may not fit 100%. We recommend replacing the mount holder with the one provided in the package for a secure fit and proper installation.

4. How can I identify the model of my old BlackVue dashcam?
    You can identify the model of your old BlackVue dashcam by following these steps:

1. Check the model name from the watermark on the saved video. The model name is located in the bottom right corner when you play back the recorded video.
2. Check the packaging box or the label hidden on the front dashcam body to find the model name.
